About the Role

Vestas is searching for a dedicated Tools Coordinator to join our expanding Service Operations team. This role is vital in ensuring that technicians and service teams have the right tools, certified, repaired, ready, and available to keep turbines operating safely and efficiently.

You’ll manage the full lifecycle of service tools—including planning, procurement requests (PRs), repairs, certifications, tracking, and reporting. This is a hands-on, detail-driven role where accuracy, responsiveness, and strong communication skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Tool Demand Management & Coordination

  • Receive tool requests from Service teams and convert these into accurate PRs.

  • Respond urgently to turbine stoppages related to missing or unready tools.

  • Support supervisors, stock controllers, and various stakeholders with tool-related needs.

Tool Tracking, Budget & Loss Prevention

  • Maintain the national/subregional tool budget.

  • Reduce lost or unreturned tools by enforcing proper tracking processes.

  • Label tools with correct inspection/recertification dates and ensure SAP records are consistently updated.

Certification & Compliance

  • Organise on-site or off-site tool certifications and ensure certificates are correctly uploaded.

  • Handle and certify lifting equipment and tools required at service sites.

  • Ensure all tools meet required safety, technical, and compliance standards.

Repair & Vendor Management

  • Manage tool repairs through approved vendors, including quotations and PR updates.

  • Coordinate with warehouse teams for movement, storage, and retrieval of tools.

  • Scrap damaged or irreparable tools following the correct procedure.

Administrative & Reporting Functions

  • Analyse MRP demands and raise accurate PRs.

  • Manage all material transfers in SAP.

  • Maintain detailed documentation for audits, tool history, and compliance reviews.

  • Prioritise tasks based on operational targets, deadlines, and turbine service schedules.


Qualifications

  • A qualification related to logistics, supply chain management, or operations.

  • 3–5 years experience in a similar tools/asset coordination role.

  • Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • SAP, SharePoint, Excel, and PowerPoint proficiency.

  • Forklift licence (advantage).

  • Training in lifting equipment/tool certification (advantage).
