Key Responsibilities:
As a Tools Engineer at Alstom, your main responsibilities will include:
Manufacturing Process Optimization:
✔️ Review and design efficient jigs, equipment, and shop floor layouts.
✔️ Implement cost-effective tooling for manufacturing processes.
✔️ Develop equipment specifications when necessary.
✔️ Continuously improve the production process to achieve 2 cars per day production while maintaining high-quality standards.
Production Support & Continuous Improvement:
✔️ Support process ramp-up, improving process capabilities and production volumes.
✔️ Implement systems that optimize all phases of production.
✔️ Update Industrial Maturity Follow-Up (IMFU) and Equipment Maturity Follow-Up (EMFU).
✔️ Lead incident investigations and problem-solving efforts during production.
✔️ Participate in concurrent engineering and design reviews, proposing improvements to ensure optimal designs.
Documentation & Compliance:
✔️ Develop manufacturing process instruction sheets and rework procedures for non-conformance.
✔️ Create industrial data sheets for tools and devices used in the manufacturing process.
✔️ Define materials and quantities for use in the manufacturing process.
✔️ Support the development of method time calculations and task sequences.
Required Qualifications & Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications:
🔹 Education: Mechanical or Industrial Engineering Degree.
🔹 Experience: Minimum of 5 years working in a CAD environment.
🔹 Skills & Knowledge:
✔️ Proficient in 2D (AutoCAD) and 3D CAD (CATIA V5, ProENGINEER).
✔️ Experience in designing jigs, fixtures, and shop floor layouts.
✔️ Familiar with industrial and lean manufacturing processes.
✔️ Understanding of ergonomic principles and the ability to read technical schematics and drawings.
✔️ Knowledge of ERP systems like SAP for managing Bill of Materials and configurations.
✔️ Strong understanding of Quality and Health & Safety standards.

✔️ Agile mindset and ability to adapt to changing environments.
✔️ Team player with excellent communication skills.
✔️ Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities in high-pressure environments.
