Are you looking to kickstart your career in sales and advertising? We’re seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Trainee in Internal Sales to support our dynamic sales team based in JHB North. This entry-level position offers valuable exposure to the fast-paced world of advertising, client relationship management, and sales operations.
As a Trainee, you will be integral in managing advertising placements, ensuring accurate order processing, and assisting in maintaining strong client relationships. You’ll work closely with the internal sales team and external stakeholders to ensure smooth operations and successful execution of sales strategies.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Application Management & Administration
- Provide exceptional support to both internal teams and clients, promptly addressing inquiries.
- Process incoming client orders and manage flighted applications across multiple platforms.
- Suggest alternative programming options to clients to optimize revenue (upselling).
- Ensure all client orders are processed accurately and in compliance with internal standards.
- Issue and verify client contracts and order confirmations for billing purposes.
- Document any changes to applications and issue updated confirmations as necessary.
- Coordinate the delivery of materials to the Transfers department and ensure timely flighting of materials.
- Monitor schedules to ensure that all flighted material is placed correctly.
- Prepare availability reports and flighted promotion certificates upon request.
- Adhere strictly to internal and external policies to prevent overbooking.
- Maintain strong relationships with external sales executives and key stakeholders.
🔹 Data Management & Compliance
- Gather and validate important data, ensuring accurate capture for internal use.
- Organize and maintain filing systems in accordance with departmental procedures.
🔹 Reporting
- Pull daily, weekly, and monthly reports as required by clients and for tracking purposes.
Requirements
🔹 Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate (essential)
- Bachelor’s Degree in Media Studies (recommended)
🔹 Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in advertising and/or sales.
🔹 Additional Requirements
- Driver’s License (recommended)
- Language Proficiency: Advanced English (written and spoken)
- Technology Proficiency: Intermediate level of Microsoft Office Suite
🔹 Key Competencies
