Job Overview

The Training Instructor will be responsible for delivering, assessing, and facilitating security training programmes in line with industry regulations and internal standards.

This role is ideal for experienced professionals in the security training environment, with strong facilitation skills and deep knowledge of compliance frameworks.


Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and present training interventions in line with industry standards
  • Assess learners and ensure competency against unit standards
  • Coach and guide learners through learnership programmes
  • Ensure compliance with QA standards and legislative requirements
  • Apply best practices in training delivery and assessment methods
  • Maintain adherence to regulatory bodies such as:
    • SASSETA
    • PSIRA
    • SAPS
    • Department of Labour (DoL)
  • Participate in ad-hoc training projects and initiatives

Qualifications

๐ŸŽ“ Education

  • Grade 12 / NQF Level 4
  • General Security Practices (NQF 3)
  • Specialist Security Practices Qualification (NQF 4)

๐Ÿ’ผ Experience

  • Minimum 3โ€“5 yearsโ€™ experience in a training environment
  • Strong knowledge of security training and compliance standards

๐Ÿ›  Skills & Certifications

  • Valid Driverโ€™s License (EB) and own transport
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • PSIRA Grades Eโ€“A Instructor certification
  • Tactical training (mandatory)
  • Registered Facilitator, Assessor (ETDP SETA & SASSETA)
  • Advantageous: Moderator registration
  • Firearm competency certifications:
    • Handgun, Shotgun, Rifle, Carbine
    • PFTC Firearms Unit Standards Instructor
