Position Overview
TB HIV Care is seeking a dedicated Training Specialist to lead and manage the organisation’s skills development initiatives. This role is pivotal in promoting learning, coordinating training projects, managing funding applications, and ensuring compliance with legislative and accreditation standards. You will act as the primary Skills Development Facilitator (SDF), overseeing training programmes, learnerships, and internships, and ensuring alignment with the organisation’s strategic goals and BBBEE requirements.
Key Responsibilities

Lead and manage the organisation’s Workplace Skills Plan (WSP) and Annual Training Report (ATR) submissions to HWSETA and other SETAs.

Coordinate and oversee learnership, internship, and funded training projects, ensuring adherence to SETA and QCTO accreditation standards.

Develop and implement training plans aligned with skills development needs and organisational objectives.

Manage BBBEE skills development compliance and reporting.

Act as the organisation’s primary contact for accreditation, liaising with SETA, QCTO, and relevant professional bodies.

Support internal managers and training staff with technical guidance and in-service training.

Manage the learner management system and maintain the Quality Management System for training.

Supervise the training administration team and ensure effective reporting, budgeting, and policy compliance.

Foster stakeholder relationships and secure funding for skills development projects.

Monitor and evaluate training effectiveness to improve outcomes.
Minimum Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Education, Training and Development.

Accredited Skills Development Facilitator (SDF), facilitator, and assessor qualifications.

At least 5 years’ experience managing skills development projects, learnerships, and funded initiatives.

Deep understanding of adult education principles, SETA accreditation processes, BBBEE compliance, and skills development legislation.

Proven experience in WSP and ATR reporting to SETA.

Strong project management and organisational skills.

Registered SDF status is mandatory.

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel.

Clear criminal record.
