About the Role:

As the Transactional Enablement Lead, you will take ownership of the strategic development, execution, and optimisation of transactional banking services and related platforms. You will act as a catalyst for operational excellence, supporting product owners and teams across multiple business units to enable efficient and compliant transaction services.

This is a high-impact role focused on aligning technology, business processes, and customer needs to deliver seamless transaction execution across platforms.


Key Responsibilities:

🔹 Strategic Enablement & Delivery

  • Define and lead the execution of transaction enablement strategies across key products.

  • Develop frameworks that ensure scalability, compliance, and operational effectiveness.

  • Drive cross-functional alignment and support product life cycle management.

🔹 Operational Support & Process Improvement

  • Streamline transaction workflows and support continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Oversee issue resolution processes to ensure quick turnarounds and customer satisfaction.

  • Collaborate with teams to reduce friction points in the transaction journey.

🔹 Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as the primary liaison between technology, business, and operations teams.

  • Manage relationships with internal and external partners to ensure smooth execution.

  • Communicate project updates, risks, and milestones clearly to senior stakeholders.

🔹 Risk, Governance, and Compliance

  • Ensure all enablement practices meet Absa’s risk, regulatory, and governance standards.

  • Contribute to audit readiness, compliance checks, and internal control frameworks.

🔹 Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead and mentor cross-functional team members involved in enablement initiatives.

  • Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer obsession.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Technology, or related field (Honours or Master’s advantageous)

  • 5+ years in banking, financial services, or fintech industries, with a strong understanding of transactional processes

  • Proven experience in business enablement, operations, or process improvement

  • Strong stakeholder management and project leadership skills

  • Familiarity with digital banking platforms, transactional security, and regulatory frameworks
