Role Overview

This role focuses on the design and analysis of transmission and distribution line structures, foundations, and related infrastructure. The Transmission Line Structural Engineer will work with advanced modelling tools to design overhead powerlines, interpret geotechnical inputs, and develop full design packages in compliance with technical standards and project requirements.

The role requires strong structural engineering capability, proficiency in PLS-CADD modelling, and the ability to produce accurate, technically sound, and fully integrated engineering documentation.

Key Responsibilities

Perform structural design of transmission and distribution line structures.
Model powerlines, poles, and towers using PLS-CADD.
Design pole and tower structures, including foundations.
Interpret geotechnical reports to inform foundation design.
Develop full design documentation, including criteria, reports, BOQs, drawings, stringing charts, and plan/profile layouts.
Deliver projects within agreed budgets, timelines, and quality expectations.
Review and interpret new standards, client scopes of work, and technical guidelines.
Provide basic project coordination support where required.

Qualifications & Experience

BEng or BTech in Civil or Mechanical Engineering.
3–5 years of project experience in structural or transmission line engineering.
Experience with PLS-CADD (PLS-Pole or PLS-Tower) preferred.
Knowledge of overhead line standards, design principles, and construction methodologies.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple design tasks simultaneously.
Basic project coordination experience beneficial.
