About the Programme

Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) is seeking dynamic and recently qualified graduates to join the Young Professional-in-Training Programme 2025. This two-year (24 months) structured programme provides graduates with hands-on workplace experience, exposure to multiple business functions, and mentorship from industry experts to help shape the future of logistics and port management.

Key Responsibilities

As a Young Professional-in-Training, you will:

• Shadow and learn from experienced staff members.

• Participate in structured learning, meetings, and workshops.

• Communicate effectively with customers to understand and meet their needs.

• Address queries promptly and ensure client satisfaction.

• Provide administrative and project support.

• Execute tasks efficiently, both independently and as part of a team.

• Produce quality work that contributes to project solutions.

• Follow company policies, safety procedures, and ethical standards.

• Maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Degree/Honours in Social Work or Psychology

• 0–1 year relevant work experience

• South African citizen

• Age between 18–35 years

Competencies

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

• Ability to work collaboratively within a team

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
