Job Overview

The President Hotel is seeking a service-driven Travel Desk Agent to enhance guest experiences through seamless travel planning and personalised local recommendations. Based in Bantry Bay, this role supports hotel guests with transfers, tours, excursions, and transport arrangements while delivering a luxury-level service standard.


Key Responsibilities

  • Arrange airport transfers, shuttles, tours, excursions, and car hire for hotel guests

  • Liaise with tour operators, transport providers, and suppliers to ensure reliable service

  • Provide accurate destination advice and tailored travel recommendations

  • Manage bookings, confirmations, amendments, and cancellations efficiently

  • Respond to guest enquiries via email, telephone, and in person

  • Ensure all travel bookings are accurately recorded and communicated internally

  • Maintain booking records, reports, and daily handovers

  • Resolve guest concerns promptly and professionally


Minimum Requirements

  • Matric or equivalent qualification

  • Minimum of two years’ experience in a hotel travel desk, concierge, or front office role

  • Strong knowledge of Cape Town attractions, tours, and transport logistics

  • Experience in a four- or five-star hotel environment

  • Excellent communication skills with a guest-focused approach

  • Strong organisational and administrative ability

  • Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and hotel systems
