Siemens Energy is looking for a Turbo Machinery Repairs Engineer to join our Transformation of Industry team at the Wadeville Service Centre in Gauteng. In this vital role, you’ll use your technical expertise in steam turbines and turbo compressors to drive advanced repair and maintenance solutions that meet the energy sector’s evolving needs.

What You’ll Do

  • Elevate the local maintenance and repair capabilities for steam turbines and compressors.

  • Engage with digital documentation management systems while ensuring technical and procedural compliance.

  • Collaborate with international repairs networks and product centres to bring innovation to life.

  • Generate detailed service and fact-finding reports, with expert repair recommendations.

  • Support project planning and costing aligned to customer inquiries and expectations.

  • Participate in field services for overhauls, emergency breakdowns, and modernization projects.

  • Develop Digital Inspection Jackets (DIJ) and advanced field inspection methods.

  • Identify, develop, and qualify new repair techniques and solutions.

  • Support the Wadeville Service Centre in scaling up advanced repair offerings.

  • Conduct process data analysis to enhance operational diagnostics and efficiency.

  • Drive a continuous learning culture and develop into a recognized repair and diagnostics expert.


What You’ll Bring

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

  • 2–5 years of hands-on experience with rotating equipment, steam turbines, and compressors.

  • Solid understanding of engineering drawings, standards, materials, and manufacturing processes.

  • Experience in a repair centre environment, working with complex machinery and inspection methods.

  • A problem-solving mindset and a passion for innovation in industrial repairs.
