Role Overview 📈

Weir is seeking a VRO Finance Analyst to join our Value Realisation Office (VRO) in Johannesburg. In this critical role, you will be responsible for conducting in-depth financial analysis and modelling to quantify and track both financial and non-financial benefits of various business initiatives. Your work will directly contribute to the successful implementation of strategic goals across the organization.

Key Responsibilities 📋

  • Financial Modelling & Analysis: Quantify the value of business initiatives and provide financial modelling support to guide decision-making processes.
  • Tracking KPIs: Monitor and report key performance indicators (KPIs) related to value realisation projects to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Reporting & Presentations: Prepare financial reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior management to track value realisation progress and identify opportunities or risks.
  • Financial Forecasting & Budgeting: Contribute to the forecasting and budgeting of value realisation projects, ensuring financial accuracy and alignment with strategic goals.
  • Risk Management: Help identify financial risks associated with value realisation projects and work with relevant teams to develop mitigation strategies.
  • Process Improvement: Stay updated with the latest financial analysis best practices and continuously improve processes to enhance overall efficiency.

Required Qualifications & Skills 🎓

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field. Professional certifications like ACCA or CIMA are a plus.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong ability to interpret complex financial data, financial modelling, and provide actionable insights.
  • Excel Expertise: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including experience with financial modelling, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Communication Skills: Ability to effectively communicate findings and insights to senior stakeholders and management.
  • Financial Reporting: Experience with financial reporting software and tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or ERP systems is an advantage.
  • Organisational Skills: Strong time management abilities to juggle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
