As a Waitron, you will play a vital role in creating memorable guest experiences by offering attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable service. If you have previous restaurant or hotel experience, excellent communication skills, and a flair for upselling, this could be your next exciting step in hospitality.

Key Responsibilities

• Welcome guests with a friendly smile and warm attitude upon entering the restaurant or venue.

• Present and explain the menu in detail, including preparation methods, ingredients, and portion sizes.

• Upsell specials, drinks, and desserts to improve the overall guest experience and average spend.

• Accurately input orders into the Plus Point system and ensure timely delivery of food and beverages.

• Reset tables, prepare venues for conferences or events, and ensure cleanliness and readiness.

• Follow hotel policies on cash handling and billing procedures precisely.

• Thank guests and invite them to return, reinforcing a positive brand image.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12 required; a Hospitality Qualification is highly desirable.

• Minimum 1+ year experience as a Waitron in a hotel or restaurant environment (3–4 star properties preferred).

• Familiarity with Plus Point POS system is advantageous.

• Excellent customer service and communication skills.

• Well-organized, detail-oriented, and professional under pressure.

• Self-motivated, punctual, and able to work shifts, weekends, and nights.
