Role Overview

Anglo American is seeking a Warranty Controller to join the team at Postmasburg. In this key role, you will be responsible for coordinating and managing warranty claims in collaboration with technical experts, supply chain teams, and planners to ensure smooth claim resolutions and contribute to the overall performance of the operation. You will help improve warranty management processes, ensuring both operational and financial goals are met.

Key Responsibilities

πŸ”Ή Safety and Health – Actively follow safety guidelines and contribute to a safety-first culture. Lead by example, ensuring team members are safe and empowered to raise concerns.
πŸ”Ή Warranty Management – Collaborate with maintenance, technical, and supply chain teams to manage warranty claims from start to finish, ensuring successful claim processing and minimal rejection or cancellation.
πŸ”Ή Optimizing Claims – Work closely with Reliability Engineers and Planners to track and optimize warranty claims, ensuring maximum yield and recovery of costs.
πŸ”Ή Process Improvement – Identify and resolve system, process, and personnel barriers to improve warranty yield.
πŸ”Ή KPI Monitoring – Work towards key performance indicators (KPIs) such as reducing cancelled claims to below 10% and rejected claims to below 5%.
πŸ”Ή Documentation and Reporting – Ensure all warranty claims and resolutions are well-documented. Provide monthly performance reports on warranty yield and opportunities for improvement.
πŸ”Ή Collaboration – Partner with maintenance and supply chain leaders to unify efforts in achieving optimal warranty recovery.
πŸ”Ή Compliance – Ensure adherence to company policies and industry regulations, maintaining governance throughout the warranty process.

Required Skills and Qualifications

πŸ”Ή Grade 12 / N3 Technical – Minimum education requirement.
πŸ”Ή Relevant Technical/Quality or Supply Chain Certification – Certifications related to engineering or supply chain management.
πŸ”Ή N4 Engineering/Supply Chain Studies – An advantage, as well as a Trade Test Certificate in an engineering discipline.
πŸ”Ή Experience – At least 5 years in a mining, plant, engineering, or supply chain environment with a strong understanding of warranty management processes.
πŸ”Ή Skills – Proficient in SAP or ERP systems, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), and a solid understanding of warranty, operations, and financial processes.
πŸ”Ή SA Drivers Licence (Code B) – Required for on-site operations and site visits.
πŸ”Ή OEM Experience – Experience in Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) in mining Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) and processing plants is advantageous.
