About the Role

BUCO, a division of The Building Company, is seeking a skilled and motivated Workshop/Production Warehouse Supervisor to join our team in Knysna. In this hands-on leadership role, you’ll support the store/branch manager in overseeing the smooth and safe operation of the machine shop, driving process efficiency and compliance with health and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the processing of goods to ensure quality and timely output.

• Oversee the daily operation and functionality of the machine shop, ensuring all tools and machinery are maintained and in good working order.

• Coordinate preventative and corrective maintenance within the machine shop to minimize downtime.

• Promote and uphold company values, policies, and safety culture.

• Implement and maintain strict adherence to OHASA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) and SHE (Safety, Health & Environment) requirements.

• Work collaboratively with management and team members to improve productivity and safety.

• Assist the branch/store manager with operations support and reporting.

What You’ll Bring

• Grade 12 (Matric) qualification (required).

• A technical qualification or certification is highly advantageous.

• At least 3 years of experience in a similar supervisory, workshop, or production warehouse role.

• Strong working knowledge of OHASA and SHE regulations.

• Practical knowledge of tools, machines, and workshop operations.

• Leadership skills with the ability to manage people and processes effectively.

• A proactive mindset with excellent problem-solving abilities.

• Attention to detail and a high level of organization.
