Job Description
Responsible for the execution of project driven electrical and electronic installations and maintenance according to SABS regulations
Assess the maintenance and electrical requirements of jobs assigned and allocated
Execute and attend to electrical maintenance tasks, equipment and breakdowns
Adhere to safety procedures, operation of equipment and report unsafe practices
Regularly conduct plant inspections and carry out planned maintenance schedules
Conduct monthly safety inspection of equipment
Providing technical support to the mechanical and production departments
Fault inspection of machinery including PLC, AC and DC drives
Willing to work on standby based on operational requirements
Minimum requirements
N6, T3 or S4 certificate or equivalent electrical trade qualification
At least 5 years' experience within an electrical/electronic maintenance environment is essential
Knowledge of occupational health and safety standards, electrical regulations as well as applicable municipal bylaws
Knowledge of and exposure to fault finding and repairs on hydraulic and pneumatic equipment will be an advantage
Knowledge of computerized maintenance systems
The incumbent must have gained skills and knowledge in a FMCG environment in the following areas: printed circuit board to component level; PLC programming; project management; AC and DC drives and experience working with contractors and suppliers
