Job Advert Summary

This role requires maintenance and electrical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to work efficiently under minimal supervision.This is a full-time, onsite role based in Marble Hall.

Minimum Requirements

Qualified Millwright (Red Seal certificate)

Matric/Grade 12 certificate,

Experience in a Production environment. Preferably FMCG.

Minimum of 3 years of Millwright experience.

Experience working on Latch Machines is beneficial.

Duties and Responsibilities

Installation and Maintenance: Install, repair, and maintain machinery and equipment according to specifications. This includes alignment, levelling, and calibration of machinery.

Troubleshooting: Diagnose mechanical failures and determine the appropriate corrective measures to ensure equipment operates efficiently.

Preventive Maintenance: Conduct regular inspections and maintenance checks on machinery to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.

Reading Blueprints and Technical Drawings: Interpret schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings to understand the specifications and requirements for machinery installation and repairs.

Fabrication and Assembly: Fabricate and assemble components for machinery, including welding cutting, and machining parts as necessary

Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and regulations, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your coworkers.

Collaboration: Work closely with other tradespeople, engineers, and management to coordinate maintenance, repair, and installation projects.

Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance and repair work, including parts used, hours worked, and any issues faced.

Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to apprentices or new employees in proper techniques, safety procedures, and equipment operation.

Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in machinery and technology to improve skills and enhance operational efficiency.
