The eThekwini Municipality is offering dynamic and hands-on Internship and Work Integrated Learning (WIL) opportunities through its Work Experience Programme 2025/2026. This initiative is aimed at equipping unemployed graduates with practical skills in administration-related fields, empowering them to build a successful career in the public sector.
📍 Location:
eThekwini Municipality – KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa
🕒 Duration:

18 months for TVET students (N6)

24 months for university graduates
💰 Monthly Stipend:
Between R2 661.68 and R8 093.01, depending on your qualification level.
✅ About the Programme
This structured internship offers workplace-based learning that enhances your qualifications with real-world administrative experience. Selected candidates will be placed in the Outreach & Capacity Building Department, under the Community Development Projects Branch, where they will report to the Project Manager.
This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in:

🎓 Fields of Study Considered

TVET students must possess an N6 qualification and require work-integrated learning (WIL) to complete their Nated Diploma.
📝 Eligibility Criteria
To be considered, applicants must meet the following:

Be a South African citizen
-
Possess a recognized qualification (not older than 5 years)

Have no prior participation in any government/private sector internship, learnership, or WIL programme exceeding 12 months

Be unemployed and available full-time for the internship duration
