📋 Job Overview

The Basic Operator role is responsible for safely operating, setting up, and maintaining assigned equipment within the packing hall. The position supports efficient packing of finished products in line with production targets, quality standards, and safety requirements. Successful candidates will report to the Shift Production Manager and contribute to smooth and reliable manufacturing operations.

🧩 Key Responsibilities

• Operate allocated packing and production equipment safely and efficiently

• Set up machines according to production and packaging requirements

• Monitor equipment performance and report faults or irregularities

• Ensure finished products are packed accurately and meet quality standards

• Perform basic equipment maintenance and cleaning duties

• Adhere strictly to food safety, health, and safety regulations

• Maintain good housekeeping standards in the packing hall

• Support production targets by minimizing downtime and waste

🎓 Qualifications

Education

• Matric / N3 NQF Level 3 (required)

Experience

• Minimum of 1 year experience in a manufacturing or production environment

Skills

• Basic machine operation knowledge

• Strong attention to detail

• Ability to follow standard operating procedures

• Good communication skills

• Ability to work shifts and in a fast-paced environment

• Strong commitment to safety and quality standards
