Job Overview
Takealot is looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Catalogue Intern to join its Retail team in Cape Town.
This internship is ideal for candidates who are interested in e-commerce operations, product data management, and digital retail systems. The successful candidate will assist with product listing management, catalogue quality assurance, and maintaining accurate product information across Takealot platforms.
The internship programme provides practical workplace experience, technical training, and professional development opportunities within one of South Africa’s leading technology-driven retail companies.
Key Responsibilities
Product Listing & Catalogue Management
- Upload new product data onto Retail and Marketplace platforms.
- Edit and maintain existing product listings.
- Ensure product information is accurate and up to date.
Data Quality Assurance
- Review product data for gaps, inconsistencies, or errors.
- Escalate product information issues when necessary.
- Ensure all listings meet product information standards and requirements.
Workload & Process Management
- Manage daily workload efficiently.
- Adhere to predetermined turnaround times.
- Maintain high levels of accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with internal teams to maintain catalogue quality.
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders regarding listing requirements.
- Support continuous process improvement initiatives.
Minimum Requirements
Educational Qualifications
- N6 Certificate in:
- Business Administration
- Or a related field

- Good Google Sheets skills.
