🎓 What is the Learnership About?

The AECI Chemical Process Operator Learnership is an intensive, 12-month programme designed to equip learners with a National Qualifications Framework (NQF) Level 2 qualification in Plant Operation. You’ll work alongside experienced professionals in a high-functioning production environment and gain exposure to various industrial equipment and processes.


🛠️ Key Responsibilities:

As part of the training, successful learners will:

  • Support plant operators in day-to-day operations

  • Execute tasks as directed by the Production Team Leader

  • Operate machinery under supervision and independently as competency increases

  • Participate in NQF 2 Plant Operation Unit Standards Training

  • Handle raw materials and packaging, including bags, drums, and bulk containers

  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping in production areas

  • Accurately complete all production-related documentation and records

  • Adhere to safety protocols, including work in confined spaces and at heights

  • Complete forklift training if required

  • Be available for shift work and overtime


✅ Minimum Requirements:

To qualify for this exciting opportunity, applicants must:

  • Hold a Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science (non-negotiable)

  • Be between 18 and 25 years old

  • Have basic computer literacy, especially in MS Office and data entry

  • Be medically fit for physically demanding work in a chemical plant

  • Be open to learning and adaptable to industrial work environments

  • Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety, accuracy, and teamwork
