Job Overview

Sanlam is seeking a Client Relationship Consultant: Niche to support high-net-worth intermediaries and internal stakeholders. The role focuses on delivering exceptional client service, managing relationships, and ensuring efficient handling of client requests and transactions.

This role is ideal for a professional with strong financial services experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to build and maintain long-term relationships in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with intermediaries and internal stakeholders.
  • Provide ongoing support and updates on client transactions and service requests.
  • Handle inbound and outbound calls in line with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Manage and respond to client emails within agreed turnaround times.
  • Assist intermediaries with understanding processes, procedures, and product rules.
  • Provide digital support and guidance to clients and intermediaries.
  • Analyse and resolve client complaints and service issues efficiently.
  • Monitor trends and suggest improvements to enhance client service delivery.
  • Ensure accurate logging and status management on internal systems (e.g., Avaya).
  • Manage workflow effectively to meet deadlines and performance targets.
  • Develop action plans to improve service delivery and client satisfaction.

Qualifications

Education

  • Matric (Grade 12) is required.
  • Relevant financial qualification will be advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in client relationship management within financial services.
  • Experience in the linked investment environment is advantageous.
  • Knowledge of contractual and discretionary investment products is beneficial.

Skills

  • Strong client relationship and customer service skills.
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal in English and Afrikaans).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of financial products and industry regulations.
  • Proficiency in call centre systems and client management tools.
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
