Job Overview
The CSI Intern role at Shoprite Group of Companies provides graduates with structured exposure to Corporate Social Investment operations, community development projects, reporting processes, and stakeholder engagement activities.

Key Responsibilities
Project Support
- Assist with the delivery and coordination of CSI projects and initiatives
- Support monitoring of project progress and execution activities
- Assist with planning and implementation of community development programmes
Administration & Coordination
- Provide administrative support including documentation, scheduling, and coordination
- Assist with collation and organisation of project information
- Support internal communication and follow-up actions
Research & Reporting
- Assist with data collection and basic research activities
- Compile information to support reports and decision-making
- Prepare summaries, presentations, and progress updates
Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage professionally with internal teams and external partners
- Support communication between departments and stakeholders
- Assist with coordination of CSI-related engagements
Learning & Development
- Participate in structured training and development activities
- Build understanding of CSI processes, systems, and strategy
- Develop functional, technical, and workplace competencies
Qualifications
Education
- Degree or Diploma in a relevant field (essential)
- Advantageous fields include:
- Social Sciences
- Development Studies
- Community Development
- Public Management
- Sustainability or related disciplines
Experience
- Exposure through internships, academic projects, volunteer work, or vacation programmes will be advantageous
- No formal work experience required
