Job Overview
The Department of Mineral and Petroleum Resources is offering a graduate internship opportunity within the Petroleum Licensing and Fuel Supply unit at its Pretoria Head Office.
This internship is suited to graduates with an interest in fuel supply, economics, logistics and financial processes within the petroleum sector. Successful candidates will support the unitβs daily operations and gain valuable public sector experience.
Interns will be responsible for arranging their own transport and accommodation during the internship period.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with petroleum licensing and fuel supply administration.
- Support data collection, reporting and record management.
- Assist with analysing fuel supply, logistics and financial information.
- Prepare reports, spreadsheets and departmental correspondence.
- Maintain and update records on departmental systems.
- Participate in meetings, training sessions and workplace development activities.
- Provide support to supervisors and other team members.
Qualifications
Education
Applicants must hold a National Diploma or Degree in one of the following fields:
- Economics
- Logistics
- Finance
Experience
- No previous work experience is required.
- Applicants who have previously participated in a government internship programme will not be considered.
Skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
