Job Overview
The Finance Internship at SGS offers an opportunity to gain hands-on experience in finance administration and operational support within a global organisation.
As a Finance Intern, you will assist with administrative tasks, document handling, customer liaison, and financial processes, while ensuring compliance with company policies and quality standards.
This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, organised, and interested in building a career in finance or administration.
Key Responsibilities
General Duties
- Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures and company policies
- Maintain quality, efficiency, and confidentiality of services
- Support implementation of Quality Management Systems
- Assist with general administrative tasks as required
Administration Support
- Liaise with customers via email and telephone
- Assist with sample registration and documentation
- Maintain and update sample registers
- Handle messages and correspondence efficiently
Operational Support
- Process documents, invoices, and instructions
- Assist with operational tasks related to customer requests
- Type and prepare reports, emails, and requisitions
- Ensure accurate handling and distribution of results
Qualifications
Education
- Grade 12 / Matric
- National Diploma or Degree in:
- Finance
Experience
- No prior work experience required
- Exposure to finance or administration is advantageous
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Good communication skills (written and verbal)
- Organisational and time management skills
- Ability to handle data and documentation efficiently
- Strong research and analytical skills
