Job Overview

Santam is seeking skilled Insurance Consultants to join its Commercial Contact Centre in Bellville. The role focuses on delivering end-to-end support to intermediaries, handling insurance queries, and driving business growth through client engagement and policy management.

The successful candidate will play a key role in customer service delivery, sales conversion, and maintaining strong relationships with brokers and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and email support to intermediaries and brokers
• Handle general insurance and policy-related queries
• Analyse client requests and provide accurate quotations
• Convert quotations into active policies
• Conduct outbound calls to follow up on quotes and retain clients
• Manage policy issuance, renewals, and maintenance
• Ensure compliance with underwriting criteria and regulations
• Resolve queries within required turnaround times
• Maintain high levels of customer satisfaction and service delivery
• Meet business targets and performance standards

Qualifications

Education:

• Matric / Grade 12
• 60 FAIS credits (Commercial Lines)

Experience:

• Minimum 3 years’ experience in financial services (short-term insurance advantageous)

Skills:

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Customer service and relationship management abilities
• Administrative and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet targets
• Adaptability and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of underwriting processes and insurance products
