JD Group (Bradlows, Russells, Rochester, and Sleepmasters) invites applicants for a Wholesale & Retail SETA Funded Learnership. We are seeking young, vibrant, and passionate individuals to participate in a 12-month program across all 9 provinces. This initiative provides an excellent opportunity for candidates to start their career in the retail sector, enhancing potential and contributing significantly to our dynamic team.
Opportunity Overview
Successful candidates will gain comprehensive experience in various facets of wholesale and retail operations, setting the stage for future career advancement within the JD Group. This program is designed not only to impart essential skills but also to foster personal and professional growth.
Learnership Coverage (12 Months)
- Assisting customers on the shop floor
- Engaging in marketing activities and maintaining merchandise displays
- Mastering English language fundamentals
- Understanding math fundamentals
- Managing transactions and processing payments using the POS System
- Gaining insights into the wholesale and retail environment
- Opening new customer accounts
- Controlling and maintaining stock to minimize losses
Candidate Characteristics
- Strong “can do” attitude
- Excellent customer service skills
- Fluent in English
- High motivation levels
- Eagerness to learn
- Effective problem-solving skills
- Adaptability in various situations
Eligibility Criteria
- Must hold a Senior Certificate (Matric or equivalent)
- Must be a South African citizen with NO criminal record
- Open to candidates with and without disabilities
