Job Overview

The Logistics Internship provides graduates with practical exposure to logistics operations, supply chain coordination, warehouse processes, and operational efficiency within a leading e-commerce environment.

Interns will work with experienced professionals across multiple departments while gaining hands-on industry knowledge and valuable workplace skills in logistics and supply chain management.


Key Responsibilities

Process Optimisation

  • Assist with improving warehouse and transportation workflows
  • Support logistics process improvement initiatives
  • Contribute to capacity planning and feasibility studies

Project Support

  • Assist with Takealot Pickup Point hardware setup
  • Support software configuration activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional operational teams

Reporting and Documentation

  • Prepare reports and presentations on operational findings
  • Document workflows and project outcomes
  • Maintain accurate logistics records and data

Administrative Support

  • Assist with logistics administration and coordination
  • Support communication within operational teams
  • Help manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment

Qualifications

Education

  • Matric / Grade 12 certificate
  • Completed N6 qualification in:
    • Logistics
    • Supply Chain Management
    • Operational Efficiency

Experience

  • Previous logistics or supply chain exposure will be advantageous
  • No formal work experience required

Skills

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Ability to multitask and prioritise responsibilities
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn
