Job Overview
The Logistics Internship offers graduates the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in supply chain operations within a high-growth e-commerce environment.
You will support logistics projects, process optimisation initiatives, and operational workflows across the Takealot Group. This role provides exposure to warehouse operations, transportation, and supply chain analytics, helping you build practical skills in logistics and operational efficiency.
This internship is ideal for individuals who are analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about supply chain management.
Key Responsibilities
Process Optimisation
- Assist in improving warehouse and transportation processes
- Support development of capacity planning and operational models
- Contribute to supply chain workflow enhancements
Project Support
- Assist with implementation of Takealot pickup points (hardware and software setup)
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on logistics projects
Reporting & Documentation
- Prepare reports and presentations on logistics findings
- Document processes, workflows, and project outcomes
- Support data analysis for operational improvements
Qualifications
Education
- Matric / Grade 12 Certificate
- Completed N6 in:
- Logistics
- Supply Chain Management
- Operational Efficiency or related field
Experience
- No formal work experience required
- Exposure to logistics or supply chain environments is advantageous
Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and data tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and teamwork abilities
- Attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
