Job Overview
Baxter Healthcare South Africa is looking for an experienced Marketing Manager to lead the Clinical Nutrition, Medication Delivery and Pharma portfolio within its Hospital Products division.
The successful candidate will develop and execute marketing strategies, oversee product launches, manage stakeholder relationships and drive growth across the hospital market. This role is ideal for a strategic healthcare marketing professional with experience in pharmaceuticals and hospital product management.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic marketing plans for the Clinical Nutrition, Medication Delivery and Pharma portfolio.
- Lead product lifecycle management for hospital-focused pharmaceutical products.
- Define pricing strategies, positioning and portfolio priorities.
- Develop integrated marketing campaigns targeting physicians, pharmacists and hospital administrators.
- Support congresses, symposia and medical education events.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and hospital procurement processes.
- Build business cases for new therapy areas and growth opportunities.
- Work closely with Sales, Medical Affairs and Government Affairs teams.
- Support hospital formulary inclusion and tender success.
- Drive the use of digital marketing tools including webinars and omnichannel platforms.
- Monitor and optimise digital campaign performance and KPIs.
- Build relationships with key opinion leaders, hospital decision-makers and procurement officers.
- Ensure all activities comply with internal policies, ethical standards and local regulations.
- Manage agencies and external vendors to ensure cost-effective delivery.
Qualifications
Education
- University degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences or Marketing.
- MBA will be advantageous.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 yearsβ marketing experience within the pharmaceutical industry.
- Previous experience with hospital products is preferred.
- Proven experience in product launches and lifecycle management.
- Strong understanding of hospital procurement and tender processes.
Skills
- Strong strategic planning and analytical ability.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Leadership and team collaboration ability.
- Knowledge of CRM systems and analytics tools.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities.
- Strong presentation and business case development skills.
- Fluent in English.
- Willingness to travel frequently.
