Job Overview

Medtronic is looking for a Senior Marketing Specialist to support the Neurosurgery and ENT business across Central and South Africa.

The successful candidate will develop and execute marketing strategies for advanced surgical technologies and capital equipment used in neurosurgery, ENT and spinal procedures. This role requires strong marketing experience, knowledge of medical technology and the ability to work across multiple regions and teams.

The position offers flexible working arrangements and requires travel of up to 50%.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement regional marketing plans for Neurosurgery and ENT technologies.
  • Support product launches, market growth and portfolio expansion.
  • Work closely with sales, clinical and marketing teams across different regions.
  • Research market trends, customer needs and competitor activity.
  • Create sales tools, marketing materials, digital content and educational resources.
  • Support the promotion of technologies such as:
    • StealthStation
    • O-arm
    • NIM Vital
    • Visualase
    • Midas Rex
  • Prepare customer presentations, case studies and testimonials.
  • Participate in product launch teams and commercialization activities.
  • Analyse market information and provide reports to leadership.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with quality standards and regulations.

Qualifications

Education

  • Master’s degree in Marketing, Business, Engineering or a related field.

Experience

  • Minimum of 7 years’ experience working with capital equipment.
  • Experience in medical devices, healthcare or life sciences is preferred.
  • Previous experience with neurosurgery, ENT, orthopaedic or surgical technologies will be advantageous.
  • Experience in regional marketing roles is beneficial.

Skills

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Excellent project management and organisational ability.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy and product launches.
  • Ability to work in multicultural and cross-functional environments.
  • Knowledge of digital marketing tools and Microsoft Office.
  • Understanding of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Ability to travel frequently across the region.
