π‘ Job Overview
The People/HR Intern will support the HR Operations team by providing administrative and operational assistance across the full HR function. This role offers hands-on exposure to HR systems, processes, and employee lifecycle activities within a high-performance e-commerce environment.
The internship is designed to build both technical and soft skills, preparing candidates for a long-term career in Human Resources.
π Key Responsibilities
HR Administration & Support
- Assist with HR documentation and administrative processes
- Handle filing, scanning, and document management
- Support onboarding processes for new employees
- Respond to employee HR queries
HR Systems & Payroll Support
- Maintain HR systems (Axio, Intranet, The Hub, Greenhouse)
- Assist with payroll-related administration (UI-19, IRP5, employment confirmations)
Employee Relations & Projects
- Assist with CCMA-related cases
- Support HR projects and initiatives
- Prepare HR communications (e.g., new starter emails)
Data & Compliance
- Ensure accurate data capturing and record keeping
- Maintain confidentiality of HR information
- Support compliance with labour legislation
π Qualifications
Education
- Matric / Grade 12
- Completed N6 in Human Resources or related qualification
Technical Skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong administrative and data capturing skills
- Knowledge of labour legislation (BCEA, LRA, EEA, SDA)
- Understanding of HR processes (recruitment, training, labour relations)
