Job Overview

TSU Protection Services is seeking a Grade C Security Officer for deployment at an industrial site in Stellenbosch. The successful candidate must be alert, physically fit, well-presented, and capable of working under pressure. This is a self-posting position, and applicants must be able to reliably report for duty for every scheduled shift.

Key Responsibilities

• Patrol premises to maintain order and visible security presence

• Monitor and control access of people and vehicles entering the site

• Remove unauthorized persons in accordance with site procedures

• Secure gates, doors, windows, and exits after operational hours

• Monitor CCTV and surveillance systems for irregular activity

• Respond to alarms and security incidents promptly

• Investigate suspicious behavior or items in line with legal protocols

• Assist staff, contractors, and visitors when required

• Lawfully apprehend and detain perpetrators until authorities arrive

• Compile accurate daily occurrence and incident reports

Qualifications

Education

• Grade 12 (Matric)

Experience

• Industrial or high-risk site guarding experience (advantageous)

Certifications & Compliance

• PSIRA Grade C (registered and up to date)

• Must pass all recruitment checks, including interviews, aptitude tests, and background screening

Skills

• Strong observation and surveillance abilities

• Ability to perform under high-pressure conditions

• Good interpersonal and communication skills

• Report writing and basic administrative skills

• Physically fit and medically suitable for security duties
