Job Overview

Ackermans is looking for a dynamic Store Manager to lead operations at its Tulbagh store. The role focuses on driving sales performance, maintaining high store standards, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, overseeing stock control, and ensuring the store represents the brand effectively while achieving business targets.


Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sales growth and exceed store performance targets
  • Lead, motivate, and manage store staff effectively
  • Maintain high standards of merchandising and store presentation
  • Oversee stock management, cost control, and inventory accuracy
  • Deliver excellent customer service and brand experience
  • Train and develop team members for continuous improvement
  • Implement operational strategies to enhance store performance
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures

Qualifications

Education:

  • Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent
  • Retail or business-related qualifications (advantageous)

Experience:

  • Minimum 2 years’ retail experience
  • At least 1 year in a supervisory or management role

Skills:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent merchandising and stock control skills
  • Strong communication skills (English required; additional language advantageous)
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced retail environment
  • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
  • Customer-focused mindset
