Purpose of the Role
The Team Member Logistics position at TAPC Warehouse Operations is designed to support warehouse activities by operating machinery safely, ensuring parts are accurately picked, sorted, and stored, and meeting all safety, environmental, and legislative requirements. As a key player in the warehouse team, you will drive machinery, adhere to key performance indicators (KPIs), and ensure that parts are handled, counted, and investigated with integrity and precision.
Key Responsibilities
🔹 Machinery Operation: Safely drive machinery including Forklift, Reach Truck, and Tow Motor to perform daily tasks. Ensure adherence to all operational standards.
🔹 KPI Achievement: Meet daily targets for storage, cycle counts, binning, and picking activities. Focus on achieving accuracy in all areas.
🔹 Accurate Binning & Picking: Ensure parts are correctly binning in designated areas and picked accurately based on scanner instructions.
🔹 Handling & Counting Parts: Carry, count, and investigate parts, including heavy parts, ensuring high-quality handling and proper inventory management.
🔹 Quality Control & Investigations: Investigate any discrepancies in parts storage, carrying out audits to maintain high standards of accuracy.
Qualifications and Experience
✔️ Educational Requirements:
- Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate (NSC) with a minimum of 120 credits at NQF level 4.
✔️ Experience: - 1+ year of experience in a similar warehouse or logistics role.
- Experience within the automotive industry is highly advantageous.
✔️ Skills: - Machinery Operation: Experience with warehouse machinery such as Forklifts and Reach Trucks will be an added advantage.
- Computer Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office is essential.
- Licensing: A valid machinery license will be considered a strong advantage.
