About Mamatwan Mine
Located in the heart of South Africa’s manganese-rich Kalahari Basin, Mamatwan Mine is one of the oldest and most productive open-pit mines in the country. This mine produces high-quality manganese, which is crucial for a range of industries, including steel production. Mamatwan Mine plays an integral role in South32’s operations and the global manganese supply chain.
The Role
As a Trainer Mining at Mamatwan Mine, you will be responsible for facilitating theoretical and practical training to employees, ensuring they meet organizational standards and competencies. You will help shape the skills of the workforce by planning, implementing, and evaluating training programs. This role involves continuous follow-up training, coaching, and the development of learning materials.
Key Responsibilities: ✅ Facilitate classroom training – Deliver training sessions to employees.
✅ Conduct assessments – Evaluate employee performance and declare competency.
✅ Moderate assessments – Oversee and ensure assessments are conducted fairly.
✅ Update learning materials – Continuously review and enhance training materials.
✅ Task observations – Conduct planned observations and verify training effectiveness.
Requirements: ✔️ Minimum of 2 years of experience in a training environment.
✔️ Previous experience in mining or energy sectors is preferred.
✔️ Strong knowledge of commercial strategies and principles.
✔️ Grade 12 qualification.
✔️ ODETP Level 4 certification.
✔️ Blasting certificate.
✔️ Registered Assessor.
✔️ Valid Driver’s License.
