Purpose Statement
The South African Bureau of Standards invites unemployed graduates to apply for participation in a one-year Internship Programmes commencing in April 2026. These programmes are designed to provide graduates with practical work exposure, mentoring and learning opportunities aligned to organisational and national skills priorities.
The successful candidates will receive a monthly stipend of R8,000.00 for the duration of the Programme.
Minimum Requirements
South African citizen
Aged between 18 - 35 years
Completed a relevant qualification
Minimum 80% academic average for the completed qualification
No formal work experience related to the field of study
Must be currently unemployed

Duties and Responsibilities
Programme Designed to Equip Youth with Meaningful Exposure Through Structured Learning and Practical Workplace Experience.
Participate in structured training and development initiatives as part of the Youth Development Programme
Gain practical workplace experience through rotational assignments and hands-on learning
Assist with departmental projects, research, and administrative tasks as required
Apply academic knowledge in a practical work environment
Demonstrate a willingness to learn, grow, and contribute to team objectives
Comply with organisational policies, procedures, and professional standards
Submit progress reports and complete assessments as required during the programme
Collaborate effectively with team members and supervisors
