Key Responsibilities
Health & Safety: Provide active and visible support to the HSE team in enforcing project HSE requirements, Client standards, permit-to-work requirements and safe construction practices.
Contractor Management: Supervise and coordinate Electrical and Control & Instrumentation contractors to ensure compliance with contract requirements, approved drawings, specifications, quality standards and construction schedules.
Electrical Construction Supervision: Monitor and supervise the installation of HV and LV infrastructure, switchgear, MCCs, transformers, substations, distribution boards, lighting systems, earthing systems and associated electrical infrastructure.
Instrumentation Construction Supervision: Monitor and supervise the installation, calibration, testing and commissioning of field instrumentation, analysers, transmitters, control valves and associated control systems.
Cable Installation Management: Supervise cable routing, cable tray installations, cable pulling, cable terminations, testing and energisation activities.
Quality Management: Support the Quality Manager in implementing quality control processes, conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with approved Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs).
Interface Management: Coordinate EC&I construction activities with Civil, Structural, Mechanical and Bulk Material Handling contractors.
Progress Monitoring: Support the Project Planner and Construction Manager with progress measurement, productivity assessments and schedule monitoring.
Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly and monthly construction reports and provide progress updates to the Construction Manager and Project Management Team.
Commercial Support: Assist the Construction Manager and Commercial Team with quantity verification, progress measurements and contractor payment assessments.
Document Management: Assist the Document Controller with site-generated project documentation, test certificates, redline drawings, commissioning records and quality dossiers.
Stakeholder Liaison: Maintain proactive engagement with Client representatives, contractors, OEMs, suppliers and internal project stakeholders.
Risk Management: Identify and proactively communicate construction risks, schedule risks, quality concerns and potential scope deviations.
Commissioning Support: Support pre-commissioning, loop checking, functional testing, energisation activities, integrated commissioning and final handover.

Qualifications
National Diploma, BTech, BSc or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Control & Instrumentation Engineering or related field.
Trade Qualification as Electrician, Instrument Mechanician or Millwright will be advantageous
Experience
Minimum 10 years' experience in Electrical and Control & Instrumentation construction supervision.
Minimum 5 years' experience on mining, bulk materials handling, industrial, petrochemical or heavy industrial projects.
Proven experience supervising the installation and commissioning of electrical distribution systems and field instrumentation.
Experience working within operating mining or industrial facilities will be advantageous.
Experience on conveyor systems, bulk materials handling facilities, PLC systems, SCADA systems and weighbridge installations will be advantageous.
Experience working under EPCM project execution models will be advantageous.
Responsibilities
The EC&I Supervisor will be responsible for the successful execution and supervision of all Electrical and Control & Instrumentation construction activities associated with the Coal Offloading Project.
The EC&I Supervisor will form part of the site construction management team and will be responsible for overseeing contractor performance, monitoring compliance with approved designs and specifications, ensuring adherence to project quality and safety requirements, and supporting the successful delivery of the project.
