Job Overview

The Enrolled Nursing Auxiliary provides safe, basic nursing care under the guidance of registered nurses and the multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on enhancing patient safety, supporting therapeutic environments, maintaining accurate nursing records, and participating in staff training and competence development.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver basic nursing care according to Scope of Practice

• Collaborate with the multidisciplinary healthcare team

• Identify, prevent, and report risks to ensure patient safety

• Assist in creating a positive therapeutic environment for patients

• Maintain accurate records of nursing interventions

• Contribute to a learning environment for staff development

• Ensure accurate charting and management of stock and equipment

Qualifications

Education

• Essential: Higher Certificate in Nursing or equivalent

• Desired: Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses in specific specialty areas

Experience

• Essential: None required

• Desired: 1 year post-qualification experience

Skills

• Infection prevention and control

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

• Computer literacy (Microsoft Office)

• Knowledge of Scope of Practice regulations for nurses and midwives
