Minimum Qualification / Experience
Minimum Grade 12
At least 3 - 5 years' experience
Valid FEL Operator license
Be literate and functionally numerate
Possess basic knowledge of machinery
Be literate and functionally numerate
Reliable, honest, and motivated
Safety-conscious
Understanding safety protocols and mechanical basics is an advantage
Have a good eyesight, hearing and the ability to distinguish between back up alarms, voices and other normal sounds with construction job sites
Shows continuity in attendance
Must have the ability to work under pressure
Medically fit in terms of the Mine Health and Safety Act
Be able to work irregular hours which may include night work
Duties and responsibilities (not limited to)
Performing daily pre-start inspection checks and ensuring lubrication of machines
Ensure that the workplace is cleaned regularly
Assist with general maintenance tasks on and around the plant
Maintain the cleanliness of the general working area
Loading the trucks and moving material (stock piling and mixing of material)
Maintaining safety standards
Report any general elementary problems to his/her immediate supervisor
Must be able to carry out instructions given by your superior
Acknowledge that Management may allocate additional tasks
