Job Purpose
Lead a specialist profit-centre business delivering share scheme, CSI, and investor services to internal and external clients, ensuring strong financial performance, regulatory compliance, and exceptional client outcomes.
Key Accountabilities
Business & Financial Management
Own full P&L, strategy, and operating model of the business unit
Drive revenue growth, cost efficiency, and sustainable profitability
Ensure effective resourcing, governance, and commercial decision-making
Strategy & Growth
Develop and execute the business growth and market positioning strategy
Identify new service offerings and client opportunities
Lead innovation, process optimisation, and digital enablement initiatives
Risk & Compliance
Ensure full compliance with Companies Act, Trust Property Control Act, and relevant regulatory frameworks
Oversee risk identification, mitigation, and governance processes
Deliver strong internal and external audit outcomes
Client & Fiduciary Oversight
Act as accountable executive for fiduciary, trustee, and investor service obligations
Drive client acquisition, retention, and relationship management
Ensure high standards of legal, secretarial, and investor servicing
Operations & Service Delivery
Ensure efficient, accurate, and timely delivery of all contracted services
Drive service excellence aligned to SLAs and client expectations
Oversee delivery of client events and reporting outputs
Systems & Innovation
Select, implement, automate and optimise systems and processes supporting business operations and strategy
Drive automation, efficiency, and scalability of service delivery
Performance Measures
Financial: Cost-to-income ratio, revenue growth, budget management
Client: Satisfaction (NPS), retention, complaints, pipeline growth
Risk & Compliance: Audit outcomes, regulatory adherence, incidents
Operations: SLA performance, delivery quality
Strategic: Sustainability, implementation, project delivery
Minimum Requirements
Relevant degree in Business, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience
Minimum 10 years' business management and operations experience in a related industry
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Postgraduate qualification (e.g. MBA, CA(SA), CFA or equivalent)
Experience in equity, share plan, trust, or fiduciary administration environments
Professional membership (FISA, SAIT, SAICA, SAIPA or equivalent)
