Description:
Hire Resolve's Client is currently looking for an experienced Materials Coordinator to join their mining company based in Gauteng. You will be responsible for coordinating materials management, inventory control and stock availability to support production, operations and maintenance requirements.
Responsibilities
Coordinate and monitor end-to-end materials management activities.
Ensure timely availability of consumables, bulk materials and critical spares.
Coordinate cycle counts and stocktakes.
Maintain accurate inventory records and minimise stock variances.
Create and maintain stock and non-stock material records in SAP.
Coordinate material reconciliations and cost centre charge-outs.
Monitor inventory levels, reorder requirements and demand planning.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures and internal controls.
Maintain compliance with SHEQ and governance requirements.
Investigate and report stock discrepancies and irregularities.
Supervise and coordinate Stores personnel and contractors.
Monitor performance, attendance and employee development.
Support the achievement of departmental KPIs and operational objectives.
Requirements
Grade 12
Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Procurement, Materials Management or a related field
Minimum 5 years' experience as a Materials Coordinator within the mining industry
3 years' supervisory experience within a materials management or warehousing environment
Experience with materials planning, scheduling and inventory management
Knowledge of inventory management and stock control principles
Experience with materials receiving, issuing and reconciliation processes
Working knowledge of SAP MM and Material Master Data management
