About the Role
The Parts Manager is responsible for overseeing the management and distribution of automotive parts and inventory within the organization. This role focuses on maintaining a well-organized inventory system, ensuring optimal stock levels, and providing exceptional support to both internal teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities
Provide technical support to staff and customers, addressing hardware and software issues efficiently.
Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of equipment to ensure optimal performance.
Collaborate with team members to diagnose and resolve complex technical problems.
Assist in the installation, configuration, and setup of new devices and systems.
Maintain accurate records of repairs, installations, and maintenance activities.
Develop and update technical documentation and user manuals for reference.
Stay informed about new technologies and industry trends to enhance performance and service delivery.
Train and support end-users on effective usage of equipment and software applications.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and monitor inventory levels to ensure the availability of parts while minimizing excess stock.
Coordinate with suppliers to order parts, negotiate terms, and evaluate supplier performance.
Oversee daily operations of the parts department, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry standards.
Lead and mentor the parts team, providing training and support to enhance their performance and product knowledge.
Facilitate efficient parts sales processes, assisting internal technicians and external customers with inquiries and order fulfillment.
Implement inventory management software and best practices to streamline operations and reduce discrepancies.
Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for improved pricing and customer satisfaction.
Prepare regular reports on inventory status, sales performance, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
Proven track record in parts management or a related field within the automotive industry.
Strong knowledge of automotive parts, systems, and inventory management practices.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to foster collaboration with team members and clients.
Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Ability to analyze data and generate actionable insights for decision-making.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
Experience in a supervisory or management role within an automotive parts department.
Certification in inventory management or a related field would be advantageous.
Familiarity with automotive repair processes to better understand customer needs.
