Minimum Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:

Degree/Diploma in SHE Management

EXPERIENCE

Safety, Health and Environmental management systems in a heavy industry or mining environment for 1-2 years

Knowledge of ISO EMS 14001:2015, QMS 9001:2015 & OHS 45001:2018 systems

People Management

SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS

Microsoft Office - Intermediate

NSSA Membership

SAP-ERP

IDEAL:

Driver's license

Duties and Responsibilities

Business intelligence and trend analysis: Track integrated scorecards for work areas, operations and business groups (e.g.: Business Safety Indexes). Create and maintain graphs, spreadsheets and documents

Maintenance, management and improvement of SHE processes and systems: Create and maintain filing systems. Perform an Elementary Design Function with ISO Achiever. Ensure IRMS Database integrity and training of ISO Achiever users. Keep all risk related documents updated and filed

Functional and strategic planning: Compile a plan for SHE and Risk Departmental Activities: SHE inspections, Risk inspections, Safety training, Training and Awareness Campaigns

Management of SHE and Risk activities, audits and investigations, quality, changes and compliance: Participate in accident and incident investigations. Administer Group Personal Accident (GPA) claims. Perform general clerical functions. Conduct and participate in scheduled and unscheduled SHE inspections and audits. Conduct Environmental monitoring: Dust, Noise, Light and Water sampling. Conduct and participate Risk assessments of Standard and Situational risk, training of relevant personnel and do amendment to the relevant documentation as required. Conduct and participate in Fire risk assessments and inspections, yearly servicing of equipment and training of fire team. Conduct SHE training and induction training with contractors, service providers and new employees as required. Prepare meeting SHE departmental and interdepartmental presentations and minute meetings

Communication and reporting: Participate in inter-departmental INVOCOMs. Participate and ensure that departmental safety meetings are held to the correct standards. Facilitate and participate in departmental INVOCOMs. Conduct Training and Awareness campaigns as per schedule

Internal Stakeholders: Promote establishing healthy, informative relationships with internal stakeholders - management and employees. Promote, within the department and business, a health and safety conscious culture and service delivery to internal customers. Manage the expectations of internal stakeholders

External Stakeholders: Liaise professionally with external stakeholders, such as other PPC site representatives and local authorities.
