Our client, a well-established retail destination situated in the vibrant V&A Waterfront, is seeking a dedicated Retail Sales Assistant to contribute to delivering exceptional customer experiences and supporting the store's dynamic environment.

Duties

Greet and assist customers with product selection and inquiries

Demonstrate and explain Thule products, including installation guidance

Maintain store cleanliness, organization, and visual merchandising standards

Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently

Monitor inventory levels, assist with stock replenishment, and support regular stock counts

Support in-store promotions, events, and promotional displays

Handle customer queries and complaints professionally, escalating to the Store Manager when needed

Follow store procedures and policies as set out in the company retail manual

Stay up to date with product knowledge and promotions

Support team goals and contribute to a positive store culture

Requirements

Minimum 1 year of retail or customer-facing sales experience

Must live within a reasonable commuting distance of the V&A Waterfront, Cape Town

Must be available to work weekends and public holidays

Passion for outdoor activities, travel, or adventure gear

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Customer Service, Communication, RPE, Cash Handling, Product Knowledge

Familiarity with the following:

Retail sales processes

Customer service best practices
