Role Context
Monitor and operate the CCTV cameras and associated equipments in the Control room
Follow protocols for maintaining the security of the CCTV control room and its facilities
Report and capture any incidents that occurs immediately to the shift leader and other relevant stakeholders
Maintain accurate records of data recordings and events, using incident reporting software
Participate in personal training and development to maintain understanding of the current CCTV legislation and regulation
Assist the investigation officers in respect of preparation of evidence and other activities associated with attendance at courts, hearing as a witness
Reports on issues relating to surveillance risk management and coordination of surveillance operations
Provide recorded media to authorised personnel
Provide assistance in displaying and exhibiting the CCTV services to authorised parties with the permission of the Superintendent operations.
Participate in the team briefing, operators working group and other development and performance management schemes to work more closely with management and other agencies in the development and administration of the services.

Financial Management
Monitor short-term Departmental budgets by scrutinising and aligning spending within the Department, to support and drive effective and efficient functioning within budgetary constraints.
Comply with all financial, Supply Chain Management (SCM) and other Tharisa Minerals (TM) regulations and policies by facilitating the right actions to reduce financial risk in the Department.
Eliminate all unnecessary expenses.
Consider all possible cutbacks when necessary.

Create and maintain a conducive work environment by appropriately applying Human Resources policies and procedures to ensure optimum performance is realised for the benefit of the Department and, by extension, the organisation.
Ensure staff is trained and competent.

Stakeholder Relations
Build and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure information, advice or opinions on relevant matters is made available and/or communicated with all relevant stakeholders, to manage expectations and timelines.
Utilise opportunities presented to enhance the relationship between management, unions, and employees, and implement processes to maximise a collaborative working relationship.
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to address security concerns, share information, and put proactive security and risk mitigation measures in place to foster a safe working environment.
Process and Technology
Oversee the management of the TM technical aspects of the process security operations including but not limited to the electronic room, CCTV operations, Digital Security Systems, Drone operations and Biometric systems.
Drive the monitoring and evaluation of existing security systems including surveillance cameras, access control systems (boom gate) and alarm systems to ensure effective utilisation and control protocols.
Lead the adoption and integration of new technology systems such as biometric systems and drone surveillance.
Direct and record alarm, fence, and system tests.
Respond to incidents.
Respond to security and safety incidents with the consent of the Superintendent Operations.
Liaison with relevant stakeholders during response and immediate and continuous feedback to the Superintendent Operations.
Immediate e-mail report to follow the visit.
TM after-hour call out procedures will apply.

Grade 12 National Senior Certificate (NQF4)
Certifications:
Psira Grade C
Control Room Certificate
Job specific experience
Minimum of three years' (3) experience in CCTV Surveillance role of two years must be in a Mining Environment.
Computer Literacy
Valid Driver's License

Must be medically fit
