PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To develop, implement and manage the HRD function by ensuring that all operational objectives are met through liaison between Line Management and HRD.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Grade 12/NQF4 equivalent is essential
Level 5 ETDP qualification is essential
Assessor/Moderator qualification is essential
Trade Certificate is essential
Minimum 3 years working experience in a supervisory position within the mining environment is essential
Must have a valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate
COMPETENCIES:
MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Analysing and problem solving skills
Knowledge of the Mine Health & Safety Act

Internal Training Processes
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:
Assists with implementation of new technology by ensuring that employees acquire necessary skills and knowledge.
Assists line management by implementing effective ad hoc training interventions when identified (Follow-up training, Reporting & Recommendations).
Coordinates, controls and ensures compliance within the ISO and SETA requirements.
Effectively manages and monitors all HRD systems.
Communicates all new and changed standards and procedures to employees and line management.
Conducts effective needs analysis with regards to client/line management processes and systems.
Manages additional training for the prevention and uplifting of section 54s.
Coordinates training related issues and any instructions and recommendations from the DMRE.
Manages all trainees to ensure that the experiential training process is effective.
