Job Overview
The Service Advisor is responsible for ensuring service excellence at the point of sale (POS) by directing and controlling all operational activities efficiently and effectively. Reporting to the Store Manager, the role plays a key supervisory function in managing cashiers, stock, and customer service standards.
This position is ideal for a customer-focused retail professional with strong leadership, operational control, and people management skills, who is passionate about health and beauty retail.
Key Responsibilities

Direct and control all point-of-sale operational activities efficiently

Ensure fast, friendly, and effective customer service at all times

Manage stock and cash safely, minimising shrinkage and losses

Maintain high standards of housekeeping and administrative control

Train, motivate, and supervise shop assistants and cashiers
-
Ensure adequate staffing in line with schedules, company policy, and labour legislation
-
Resolve customer queries timeously and in accordance with company policies
-
Drive Clicks ClubCard promotion to achieve participation targets

Enforce security measures, cash controls, and returns procedures
-
Act as a brand ambassador by delivering visible, professional customer service

Support and promote Clicks Group values and customer-first vision

Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, promotions, and store events
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 (Matric) β Essential
-
Relevant Retail or Business Management qualification β Essential for external applicants
Desirable
-
Mathematics 50% and English 50% at Grade 12 level
Education

National Senior Certificate (Grade 12)

Retail Management or Business Management qualification (preferred for external candidates)
Experience and Skills

Minimum 1 year experience in a customer-facing role

Experience overseeing staff in a retail or FMCG store operations environment

Proven numeracy and stock management experience
