Job Overview
Medirite Plus Riverview is seeking a Stock Controller to manage and maintain accurate inventory levels within the store. The role involves receiving deliveries, verifying stock, managing returns, and ensuring that stock flows efficiently between the store, suppliers, and distribution centres.
This role is ideal for someone with strong attention to detail, retail experience, and a solid understanding of stock management processes in a fast-paced FMCG environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately receive and verify incoming goods against supplier invoices.
- Capture delivery invoices on the system accurately and on time.
- Ensure all goods received match quantities, variants, and quality standards.
- Process returns to suppliers in line with company procedures.
- Maintain an organised and compliant storeroom environment.
- Assist in managing high-risk and sensitive stock items.
- Identify discrepancies and report them to management.
- Return damaged or unordered goods and complete credit documentation.
- Support stock movement between store, distribution centres, and suppliers.
- Assist with additional store duties as required.
- Handle physically demanding tasks, including lifting and offloading stock.
Qualifications
Education
- Grade 12 (Matric) qualification.
Experience
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar stock control role within retail or FMCG.
- Experience working in store operations or inventory environments.
Skills
- Strong understanding of stock management principles and processes.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Good organisational and time management skills.
- Strong problem-solving ability.
- Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Office 365).
- Knowledge of SAP systems is advantageous.
- Good numeracy and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a physically demanding environment.
